This book, Worship and Preaching, is divided into two sections. Section – I Worship and Section – II Preaching. The author has further divided Section – I into five chapters and Section – II into one complete chapter.

In Section – I, chapter one, the author writes to us, the definitions of Worship, and has defined Christian Worship. Chapter two, talks about the Biblical and Theological Perspectives on Christian Worship, in detail. Chapter three, is all about the Historical Development of Worship, which includes Old and New Testament worship and the worship done in the apostolic churches. Chapter four, covers the Elements of Worship and Forms of Christian Prayers. The final Chapter, gives us the details about the Christian year roughly about the Christian Calendar and the Observance of Fast and Feasts.

In Section – II, the author has enlightened about the Nature of Christian Preaching, in one entire chapter. He has elaborated in detail the ways of preaching, method for preaching, how to construct a sermon and the right way to deliver a sermon.

Dr. Sanjay Kumar is a Professor in the Department of Indian Religions and Philosophy, at Allahabad Bible Seminary, Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh, affiliated to the Senate of Serampore College (University), Kolkata, India.

He has completed B.Th., BD, M.Th. from Senate of Serampore College (University), M.A from Shobhit University and Ph.D. from SHUATS: Sam Higginbottom University of Agriculture, Technology.
