This book is a commentary on Paul’s Epistle to the Philippians. This is the author’s eighth book published by Christian World Imprints, Delhi. Rev. Dr. M. J. Joseph, a former Principal of the Mar Thoma Theological Seminary, has written in his Foreword to this book as follows: I am really amazed by the penning ability of Dr. Abraham Philip in the Biblical literature particularly in the area of New Testament. As it is a Foreword, I want mainly to dwell upon St. Paul's concept of joy in the midst of suffering and other related theological and ethical issues. I would like to give a bird's eye of the legacy of the letter. Dr. Abraham Philip has vividly brought out the exegetical scenario in his commentary with his erudite stamp of scholarship…. I hope and pray that the study of this letter of joy written by the Apostle Paul with the evaluation of the commentator, Dr. Abraham Philip may create ripples towards a blending of theology and ethics for a holistic witness in the contemporary world.
