Every culture and tradition embodies a distinctive philosophical framework through which people understand reality, morality, and human existence. However, many indigenous philosophies remain insufficiently explored and studied in depth. The Konyak concept of meth represents one such rich philosophical heritage.Meth, etymologically and metaphysically, means action and its effects. It is both the judge and the embodiment of the justice. Every action of human is recorded and rewarded either for the good or the evil that ones action has caused. Characterised by truthfulness, justification, righteousness, honesty, courtesies and deliberation, meth serves as the philosophical and social ethical foundation of Konyak Naga. This book is an effort to revisit the meaning and significance of methphilosophically, and to draw relevance to the Konyak Naga Christians today.
