This book, Tribal Women and Theology, addresses topics ranging from the unique experiences, challenges, observations and contributions of tribal women within the scope of Christian theology. The articles are mostly authored by tribal women scholars, particularly theological teachers. The book addresses key issues related to the biblical exploration, theological interpretation, church history, and the role of women in the society and church ministry. It critically exposes how tribal women’s voices have been marginalized in both church and society and attempts to reclaim their space and contributory role through a contextual reading of Scripture and theological reflection. Knitting together biblical insights, historical narratives, and lived experiences, the book provides a forum for tribal women to articulate their faith and identity in the face of patriarchal and colonial structures. It challenges the dominant theological discourse by bringing forward indigenous perspectives thereby offering a vision of empowerment for tribal women within the church, theological education and community.
