This book offers a highly practical guide for young people struggling with symptoms of depression, centered on the Psycho-Spiritual Intervention Program, which integrates symptom reduction with the promotion of overall well-being. Rev. Dr. Thomas Kuttiankal MSFS emphasizes that human struggles are fundamentally both psychological and spiritual in nature, and thus, effective solutions must address both dimensions. While psychological factors significantly contribute to the development of depression, lasting healing also requires spiritual insight and practice.
Rev. Dr. Abraham Vettuvelil MSFS, PhD Psy. Former Superior General of MSFS
This book presents an effective, scientifically tested intervention known as the Cognitive Spiritual Intervention Program (CSIP). It is the outcome of rigorous research conducted by Rev. Dr. Thomas Kuttiankal during his doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology. As his academic advisor, I witnessed his deep passion and commitment to addressing mental health challenges. What makes this work truly inspiring is the brilliant integration of his spiritual wisdom, as a Catholic priest, with the scientific rigor of clinical psychology. The result is a structured, step-by-step program grounded in empirical and thematically analyzed data, designed to bring genuine healing and transformation.
