What if your ancestors' stories were preparing the way for the Gospel?
For generations, the Zomi Paite people told the story of Lengtonghoih—a sister lost to deception, brothers who died attempting rescue, and a youngest brother who transformed, submitted to death, and rose to restore what was lost. LENGTONGHOIH reveals striking parallels between this ancient folktale and the biblical narrative—parallels too precise to be coincidental. Through careful analysis, Khumbiaklal Hauzel demonstrates that Christian truths about fall, sacrifice, and resurrection are not Western constructs but woven into reality itself, echoing in the stories of cultures worldwide and pointing unmistakably to Christ.
Khumbiaklal Hauzel is a Zomi theologian and pastor born in Lamka, Manipur, India. He holds a Master of Divinity from India, a Master of Theological Studies from McCormick Theological Seminary (Chicago), and a Master of Theology from The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Louisville, Kentucky).
