This book critically revisits Gurukuls forty-year journey led by its guiding motto, Towards a Bold Theological Vision, which has fostered contextually grounded and praxis-oriented theological education in India. Bringing together sixteen scholarly essays from diverse disciplines, the volume offers both appreciative remembrance and prophetic critique. It reflects on Gurukuls pioneering contributions to theology and theological education while discerning contemporary challenges such as digital transformation, AI ethics, gender diversity, political ideologies, and public theology. Situating Gurukul as a flagship institution that reoriented theology toward lived realities, justice, and the voices from the margins, the book also calls for renewed imagination, intersectional engagement, and community embedded theological praxis in a rapidly changing world. More than a commemorative volume, Revisiting Bold Theological Vision is an invitation to rethink theological education, renew the Churchs public witness, and envision bold, life-giving theologies for the future of church and society in India and beyond.
